Steckley Goes to the Movies: The Update

Last week I posted about some drawings I had in the new movie 'Everybody's Fine', with Robert DeNiro, Drew Barrymore, Kate Beckensale and Sam Rockwell. You can read all about it here.

The movie itself is getting pretty nasty reviews from the critics. I didn't mind it, though it's all about HEAVY drama. Obviously, DeNiro is great, and nobody else could've pulled of as heavy a part as him, if you ask me.
Through all two hours of the film, there was one scene of laughs, and I'm happy to say, that was a result of the drawings I did. Here's a basic rundown...
Kate Beckensale's character works at an ad firm in Chicago, and has to bring her dad (DeNiro) on his way to the train station because she has to approve an ad pitch.
While in her office, two lackeys come in with the presentation to run past her. They go through the whole proposed commercial almost frame by frame, and oftentimes close up on the images. It's a funny commercial they're pitching, and thankfully, the pitch got alot of laughs from the people in the theater. That was pretty surreal for me! Here's a few of the mock storyboards again that made the cut:

Again, these are meant to be just storyboards. I would have loved to really get in there and make they super detailed an polished, but that isn't what work like this calls for in the real advertising world.
