Drawin' in the Sun!

The one good thing to come from all the heat we've been experiencing out here in NY is this: Perfect beach weather.
Every weekend I've been in town and not having to work on something, the Mrs and I have been heading out to various beaches on the south shore of Long Island, about 40 miles away.
What I've learned is this: being at the beach is like being in one long figure drawing class, with an endless supply of models to choose from, only better... 'cause you're outside, and.... at the beach!
Here's few sketchbook pages I've filled up this summer so far.

These are great. The one with that guy and the big ole beer belly cracked me up. I think I would DIE if I knew a caricature artist was drawing me while I was on the beach!!

One thing about New Yorkers is this: People are very good at ignoring other people. People are very good at putting the blinders on out here, and that's been very beneficial to me. Other than the occasional group of little kids, not one single person has come up to me yet to find out what I'm doing.
