One of my biggest problems with drawing, especially caricatures that aren't live, is second guessing everything. Draw a line, look at it, doubt whether it's right, blah blah blah.
This is a very bad habit to get in. Canoodling is the perfect way to take any life and animation out of a drawing.
Today I sat down with an Entertainment Weekly and basically did some gesture drawings of faces.
This one is right around 2-3 minutes, and though the caricatures aren't complete home runs, have a sense (I believe) of life and humor. I could be way off, who knows.
This is drawing in Alias Sketchbook 8.
